Rett angel, seizure petit mal
Jaelynn is 2,5 jaar oud. Ze is onlangs gediagnosticeerd met het Rett Syndroom. Sinds enkele dagen is haar epilepsie van absences of 'eventjes geen contact', naar een petit mal overgegaan, enkele aanvallen op een dag. Daarna is ze heel suf en duurt het even voordat ze weer contact maakt. Duidelijk hoor je ook het tandenknarsen dat typisch is voor Rett.

A miniature pinscher having a petit mal seizure
Shelby is a nearly 5 year old miniature pinscher.Notice how arched her back is and the difficulty she has in walking. It may not be apparent but she is also shaking pretty badly. She will find her bed to lay down in and then, as sudden as the seizure began, it will end.
